Karen Alfano Obituary
Karen earned bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Minnesota. She led research studies at the U of M's Dept. of Epidemiology before founding Sew Schon, an alterations business, that she ran while raising her daughter and stepdaughters. She loved art, design, and literature. She passed those loves onto others.
A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at 12 noon (visitation one hour prior) at Mount Olivet Lutheran Church, 5025 Knox Ave. So., Minneapolis.
In memory of Karen, we invite you to honor her passion for art with a contribution to the MIA (Minneapolis Institute of Art) in lieu of flowers
