Karen L. Bottorf

Karen L. Bottorf, 68, passed away Friday, May 13, 2011 at her home surrounded by her loving family in Fort Wayne. Born in Rockford, IL, she spent her life devoted to her family and worked hard to raise her two sons. She was a former member and youth group leader for many years at Taylor Chapel United Methodist Church and a current member of Saint Joseph United Methodist Church. She loved spending time with her family and traveling. Karen was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing at her home course, Arlington Park. She is survived by her husband, Dennis D. Bottorf of Dearborn, MI; sons, Jon (Jen Ramo) Bottorf of Indianapolis, and Jeff (Tammy) Bottorf of Fort Wayne; granddaughter, Jennifer Bottorf, grandson, Christopher Bottorf; great-grandson, Alex; sisters, Linda Cleveland of Hickory, NC, and Nancy Pierce of Durham, NC. Karen was preceded in death by her parents, William and Janet Ahlgren. Service is 10 a.m. Monday, May 16, 2011 at D. O. McComb and Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road, Pastor Shannon Stringer officiating. Calling from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, May 15, 2001 at the funeral home.
