I extend my condolences to the entire family most especially to her children Taria, Terrill and her grandchildren who were her life. As her college roommates for the four years we studied at St. Augustine's College, Raleigh N.C. (Class of 1975) we remained in contact and often conversed during her lengthy illness. Nassau as she was affectionately called during our days at St. Aug , will be sorely missed. She was a true friend. Over the years we ended all of our correspondences with the words “roommates forever”. She would spend many summers in New York at her daughter's home . We would talk on a daily basis. I would either call her from my office or she would call me. Before we could have a conversation I would have to talk to each grandchild, niece, nephew or any other child under her care while she was visiting during the summer.
Rest in peace roommate. Our years at St. Aug as we both agreed “were among the best days of our lives.” You will be missed.
