So sorry to just come across this. Karen was a great friend i met through the Awakening community when I was stationed in Alexandria LA back in the 80s and had reconnected on Facebook on and off over the last 10 yrs or so. My thoughts and for her family

Karen was my bridesmaid. She was such a smart, kind and vivacious person. I will miss her. She was an excellent nurse and dedicated friend. God bless her family. Kathy Madden Goodrich

It's been 4 months Friday last. I just re-watched your Funeral mass again and the nerves of your death are as raw now as they were while I held your had and told you that it was OK to let go. Five minutes later and you were gone. I still can't believe I had the strength to deliver the eulogy. I'm certainly learning how very hard life is without you. It's funny, the first movie we saw together was Jerry McGuire. The phrase "you complete me" is very much descriptive of our relationship. She was my rock, Yin to my Yang and the light in my darkness. I most sincerely hope God is holding you to His bosom until we can be re-united.

Your adoring husband. J

I will never love anyone like I love you.

Karen was one of my first childhood friends. We first met at Purple Martin Kindergarten in Bastrop Louisiana when we were five years old. We attended school together until we both graduated from high school. I have such fond childhood memories of Karen. She was so kind, smart and had such a bubbly personality! I wanted to share this photo of a little Karen Banker, that was taken when we went to the zoo together. It's an old photo, but it shows her sweet personality!

I pray for God's comfort for everyone in the family during this difficult time.

Karen was such a sweet, happy person all the time. She was such an excellent nurse, hard worker and was always so incredibly pleasant. She was such a joy to work with and I often admired her laid back personality.

I am still in disbelief she is gone. My heart hurts. I pray for her family and her work family on 5 green west as I cannot imagine the pain they are all enduring.

I hope Karen knew I thought so much of her, and that I truly enjoyed our interactions, every, single, time.

I will so miss you Karen and your kind smile.
