Karen Coon (Margelot), 68, passed away on June 5, 2025, in Winsted, Connecticut.

Born on September 27, 1956, Karen was a graduate of The Gilbert School and Northwestern Connecticut Community College. Her life was marked by an energetic spirit, abundant kindness, and a sense of humor that brought light to those around her.

Karen is lovingly remembered by her husband, James Coon; her sons, Aaron Coon and Sean Coon; her brother Bruce Margelot; her sister Carla Obrien; and her brother Lynde Margelot. She was preceded by her parents, Norma (Sprague) Margelot and Ralph Margelot.

Karen's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

My condolences to Karen's family. I have fond memories of her from the Oak St. neighborhood, along with Carla and Bruce. She was always a kind and caring person. Rest in peace, Karen. You will be missed.
