In memory of

Although I knew Karen because we did business together, she would always go out of her way to spend time chatting with me; she was kind and bubbly. But what stood out the most was she was very smart. She knew her stuff for sure. I will always think of her with a smile. And, I hope she visits me as many souls have in the past. God Bless You, Rest In Peace my friend. #gonetoosoon #notforgotten

Dear Zach and Jordan,
My heart is with you both. I pray that the beautiful memories you hold of your mom bring you comfort and strength in the days ahead.
Karen holds such a tender place in my heart-just as you both do. I have so many sweet memories of my dear Kare-Boo, beginning with the day we met at SWA.
She lit up every room she entered, and traveling with her was always filled with laughter, love, and unforgettable style. I´ll never forget the big hair and glamorous '80s looks-and then, of course, the classic Karen: in jeans, tailored trousers or chinos, a perfectly paired button-down, and a cardigan to bring it all together. She had a way of showing up effortlessly polished and always uniquely herself.
One of my most cherished memories is the last time we were together in 2023 for our SWA reunion. Spending that weekend with Kare-Boo was truly special-taking long walks, watching Yellowstone, eating Mexican food, sipping margaritas, and laughing with Louie about all the fun we used to have.
We may not have lived in the same city, but every time we reunited, we picked up right where we left off, as if no time or distance had ever come between us.
I certainly never imagined that would be the last time I´d see her. That time together will forever stay with me.
Karen will always be with me-in heart and spirit.
Please know I´m holding you both close and sending you all my love during this difficult time.
With heartfelt love,
Celina Sanchez

Karen was my mentor and friend! She taught me everything I know about hardware. She was a wealth of knowledge and was always so helpful. Her energy was infectious and always greeted me with "hey gal"! She is irreplaceable and we miss her at work.
My sincere condolences to her family.

Working with Karen was a privilege. Karen was an amazing lady, and the world is a little less bright without her. She was a dynamo who gave her all and never failed to help. She was a wonderful example to us all and we can only hope to embody her excellence and positive spirit.

Zach and Jordan, my heart is with you at this time of sorrow and mourning. Your mom was a treasure. She was a gift in so many ways to so many. In "Karenesque" style she enriched us all and did so with grace and love in her heart always.
Thank you, Karen, for showing us true love and devotion and kindness and compassion. You lived it ...and touched us all by it. We will love you forever.

I am so glad I was able to talk with you in early June. I will remember 21 years of warm hugs sharing stories about our children talking about the design industry and what adventure or travel we were going to do next. I am so glad I was able to spend time with you last year while the window fashion show was in Dallas. I will forever hold the memory of that trip and your friendship.

To Jordan, Zach, Martha and all the family!
I am so shocked and so heartbroken at Karen´s passing! I worked with her at Southwest Airlines for so many years! When I think of Karen I think of her vibrant smile, sense of humor and honesty!!! She was always fun to work with and hang out with!!! I remember so vividly when Zach was born and she brought him to the airport for us all to meet him!!! She was such a proud Mom!!! And then came Jordan and her heart was full!!! I will have you all in my prayers!!! May God bless you and give you comfort!!! There is a new bright soul in heaven!!!
Love to you all,

Dear Zach, Jordan, and the Cooper Family ,
I am so very, very sorry to hear of Karen’s sudden passing . Karen was one of the most sweetest, thoughtful, loving, person who made me feel so warm and welcomed when we moved back to Dallas and attended St. Monica. Her 1994 greeting and friendliness is still a part of my life today, and to this day, I constantly think of her when I reach out to others and welcome and meet them . She was always positive and friendly and ready to have fun!! Karen and Ralph graciously included my son, Hart, in so many activities and fun outings with Zach and other friends. I am so saddened by this sudden loss and will dearly miss her. Zach and Jordan- please let me know if there is anything I can do for you. Your mom was one of a kind and very special !! I am just heartbroken!!
Love and prayers,
Patty Mason

I remember she called me a "little David Letterman" when I was a kid. The compliment sparked my childlike interest and I've been trying to live up to that ever since so thanks for the compliment and confidence boost, Karen or Mrs Cooper

I had the pleasure of meeting your mom several times over the last 10 years through her work with Paris Texas and The Finial CO hardware. Most recently last summer at the Fabricut sales meeting She was indeed an expert in her field and gave us all confidence we knew what we were doing! She was always available to respond to our questions with a humor and straightforwardness that wasn't questioned.
My sympathies to your family. It sounds like you have some wonderful memories to keep her alive in your hearts.

Karen and I at the women´s march in downtown Ft Worth. She was
my liberal sista from anotha mista. I loved her deeply and truly. I want to be just like her when I grow up and that is exactly what I told her in our last phone call at the first week of June. I will cherish my last hug that I received a few days later. I will miss her sparking eyes and dimpled smile. Until we meet again beautiful!
