We met Karen and Jim in Naples, FL at a bar watching the Vikings game several years ago and hit it off. We had some enjoyable times together over dinner and with our dogs. Karen was a warm and friendly woman who loved her life as well as her husband and children and grandchildren. Her grandchildren were so special to her and her eyes lit up every time she spoke of them. She loved her sons and her daughter in laws were like daughters to her. She and Jim were a very attractive couple and had some great times in Florida. Karen will be greatly missed.

Karen was a warmm, beautiful person. Whenever I was in her presence she made me feel very welcome. It was obvious that she adored her children and grandchildren. As Lori's aunt I know how much she will be missed by everyone. She will live on in their hearts and minds. May God help them find peace at this very difficult time. Aunt Jan

I had the pleasusre of meeting Karen through my niece, Lori Duncan. She was always so friendly, pleasant, and sincerely caring whenever my husband and I had the pleasure of her company. I know she will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Karen and I got to know each other VERY well over the time span that we spent contemplating and laughing and accomplishing the “look” of her Naples home. We became great friends, sharing our life’s ups and downs, as we lived our daily lives. Karen’s heart was huge and caring for her loving husband Jim, the boys & their wives, her grandkids and her precious dog “Teddy”. She worried about making a good home for them all! She felt that she was her family’s Rock of Gibraltar. Karen was a bundle of sunshine that lit you up when she smiled and you knew that all was right with the world! And you knew when you saw that mischievous grin of Karen’s that something was ‘gonna’ happen! That perky demeanor of Karen’s had you ‘running for the hills’ or ‘falling down laughing’ depending on what she had in mind. Karen was a strong, loving, smart, caring woman that lost a courageous fight! Karen was one classy lady loved by all. I sure hope that they are ready in heaven….cause they are going to be AMAZED by Karen!!! With love and so glad that I got to know Karen, Marty Lord

Karen was a woman who carried herself with grace and dignity. She always had a kind word and a lovely smile when she greeted you. I have the honor of knowing her son, Jim's, wonderful family. In my relationship to them it was obvious there was a very deep love for their Mother and Grandmother. I only wish they had more time with her. I pray God will hold Karen's family close during this most difficult time.

Karen was a beautiful and spirted woman that I had the pleasure of taking care of during the many nights she spent dining with Jim at first Pronto, and more recently the Oceanaire. I will always remember her smile and her warm, gracious nature. My heart and my prayers go out to Jim rest of her lovely family. God bless. Love, Pamela S.
