Karen Insley Firman

POQUOSON - Karen Insley Firman, 57, a native and lifelong resident of Poquoson, passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2017. She was a graduate of Poquoson High School, Class of 1978, and drove a school bus for Poquoson Public Schools for many years. Karen was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and Poquoson Ladies Auxiliary. Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Blossom Insley. She is survived by her daughter, Heather Davis; sons, Bryce Firman and Ira Tate, Jr. (Amanda); grandchildren, Haley Davis, Makenna Tate, and Nathan Tate; sister, Sherry Hargrave (David); aunt and uncle, Edna Mae and Gene Barr; and, many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Saturday, July 15, 12:00 Noon - 1:30 PM, immediately followed by a Funeral Service, all at Claytor Rollins Funeral Home, Poquoson. Burial will follow at Hampton-Veterans Memorial Gardens, Hampton. At other times, the family will receive friends at 42 Cedar Rd., Poquoson.
