Dr. From, I am so sorry for your loss.

I was so saddened to hear of your loss. Mrs. From was a wonderful woman and had a profound influence on my life as my teacher and friend. Please know that she helped to shape my life and mind in the best ways possible and she will never be forgotten. Please know you are all in my thought and prayers.

Sorry for the passing of Karen, I only met Karen a couple of times but remember her dominating personality.A sweet lady. I will be thinking of you during these difficult times.

Mrs From's legacy will live on in the minds of every student she influenced. Whether through her unabashed way with words or her amazing wit and intellect! I am so grateful to have learned the beauty of literature from Mrs From at Menard and so happy I was able to tell her years later how simple college lit was because of her. Prayers to the entire From family. She will not be forgotten by anyone that has crossed her path.

I am truly sorry for your loss. I only knew Karen from High School and her being friends with my older brother and myself graduating with Kaye. From what I understand she had a wonderful life. God bless.

I am so saddened by Karen's passing. She was such a wonderful lady--albeit not the stereotypical prim, proper and prissy lady--to work with, to have as friend, and to teach my sons. Prayers to the Family.

My prayers go out to Karen's family. She will be missed by many. She was my mentor teacher at Holy Savior Menard and made me laugh every day!

Karen led an important life. Her knowledge and passion burned bright during her lifetime. Her influence will shine among her many loved ones, friends and students for years to come. She was truly incredible. I feel so lucky to have had the time with her that I did. I miss her terribly and will cherish all my memories of her.

My deepest sympathies to all of the From family. I first met Mrs From in freshman English class in 1990. She was shockingly different than any other teacher I had ever had & than most I had ever after! I learned so much - and she started my interest in theater, which led me to introducing my own children to theater at a young age. I'm amazed how often something about her pops into my head, which shows how influential she truly was. I wish I had known her in my adult life. My prayers are with her family!
