Dr. Karen Gajda

Dr. Gajda was so special to everyone. This is a great loss. She carries on in everyone she met.

I just learned of Dr. Gajda's passing yesterday. I was a patient of hers for many years, and she was one of the most loving, compassionate, intelligent doctors I have ever known! I am deeply saddened by her passing, and I share in her family's grieving. Bob, I did not ever meet you, but Dr. Gajda spoke of you often. Your relationship was special, and I am sure the hole in your heart is deep. "May the Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord shine His face upon you; the Lord turn his face toward you, and give you peace." Numbers 6:24-26

I was saddened to hear that Dr. Gajda had passed away. Dr. Gajda was an incredibly caring and kind doctor. Dr. Gajda did not prescribe medicine, healed through a sense of touch and who, as she said, was always learning, even as she was teaching others. Her kind and soothing presence will be sadly missed. Our condolences to her husband and family.

I worked for Dr. Gajda at the medical center in Hillside. She hired me at age 16 as a receptionist and I continued to work there through college. She was a loving woman, a compassionate Doctor and a lover of animals. I will always remember her walking her Teddy Bear. I am truly saddened to hear the news of her passing and know that while she is not here with us, that she is still caring for people and animals in heaven.

I miss her dearly...she was an amazing boss a wonderful person and a God given healer. She had a heart of gold and sadness fills my heart that the angels took her back. Her name will forever be in my words and my heart will miss her more. She taught me so much working for her. The world has lost a wonderful passionate person who healed the body and soul of many. It is with great sadness that we learned today of Dr. Gajda's passing. My family and I were fortunate to be her patients for a short few years before her timeless passing and experience her amazing gift as a compassionate and gifted healer. Her stories,her wisdom, her kindness and compassion will forever remain in our hearts. Our deepest condolences to Bob and his family.

I recall, with great appreciation, the good fortune I had as a medical student to train under Dr. Gajda. Her gifted approach to healing not only benefited her patients, but also those of us who learned along side her. Her light has touched many!

Very saddened to learn Karen is no longer with us. She was a bright light and inspiring teacher when I was a medical student at CCOM. My thoughts are with her family and friends.

I was one of five students who worked for her then went on to study medicine. I carry her with me every treatment day and her words are etched on my conduct. My heart is with Bob and family of his.

My children loved feeling the snow falling from Heaven when Dr Gajda treated them, they use the phrase 'your health is beautiful' all the time. My son Quinn would lay quietly on her treatment table, wide awake but still, for as long as she would allow. It never failed to amuse and stun her that a dysregulated spectrum boy would happily do so, but she underestimated the strength of her healing. I am so sorry for your loss, Bob, amazing warrior woman you had there. I feel like I know you a bit from afar, she expressed such love for you and gratefulness that you met. Our hearts are broken tonight. Dr. Gajda has left behind a void that can't be filled.

My family and I have been patients of Dr Gajda for over 35 years. It is with great sadness that we receive the news. Dr Gajda was as close to a member of our family as anyone. We will hold her in our hearts always.
