On Monday, October 10, 2005, KAREN S. GOLDBERG of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved wife of Michael A. Dinkin; loving mother of Jesse M. and Malachi D. Dinkin; devoted daughter of Samuel and Barbara K. Goldberg and dear sister of Robert W. (Heidi) Goldberg, Thomas R. (Linda) Goldberg, Margaret E. Goldberg (Bernard Fields) and Michael E. (Leslie) Goldberg. Also survived by a large family and many loving friends. A Memorial service will be held on Friday, October 14, at 3 p.m. at DANZANSKY GOLDBERG MEMORIAL CHAPELS, 1170 Rockville Pike, Rockville, MD. Interment private. The family will be receiving friends and family at Samuel and Barbara Goldberg's residence immediately following memorial services. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Lombardi Cancer Research Center at Georgetown University Hospital.

Dear Mike:
Al and I are so very sorry to learn of Karen's passing. I am thankful that I had the chance to meet Karen before she became ill and had such a wonderful visit with her and your boys. Mike, I was very shocked to hear this unsettling news. I spoke with Karen just last year and had no idea she was battling this sickness. I am overwhelmed with sorrow and grief.
