I first met Karen in 1984 on a train ride to Washington to celebrate the dedication of the statue at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial; "The Wall" Thus began a friendship of decades. Karen's patriotism was well known as she supported various veterans activities and was a stalwart member of the League of Families of POWs and MIAs. That was only one aspect of her personality as she was dedicated to her family, church and community. Most of all she was thoughtful and full of life. She was fun to be with and I'll cherish the memories of our meals, quiet visits, and road trips together. Janice and Donna and their families were truly blessed in having this wonderful woman as mom.

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived. Janice and Donna I am so sorry about your mom. You gals were the BEST daughters. Not everyone would have done as well as you both did providing the best care possible for her. I know how hard this is but remember all the laughs and great times you have had over the years...these memories can never be replaced and should be held close to your heart forever. Rest easy Mrs. Hamilton one day you shall all be together once again.
