On behalf of all Karen's Florida friends, Natasha, Sandrine, Vicky, Sergio, John, Patricia, Sylvia, Eddy, and Maritza...She will be highly missed and always thought of with very fond memories. She always brought sunshine where ever she went!

I am so saddened to hear of Karens passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Karen was so much fun to be around and one heck of a fighter. I will always remember her and was so lucky to have been her as a friend. My condolences are with her family and her beautiful daughter Lizzy.

Karen was the first person I met upon joining Singles of Nativity. She not only encouraged me to become active, but helped me in so many ways. Karen was vivacious, outgoing and loving.

At one of the dances, neither of us had partners, but we both wanted to dance, so Karen said, "Come on let's dance," and lead to the middle of the dance floor. I hadn't danced like that since high school. Wherever Karen was, she made it fun!

Was so nice to get to know Karen through volunteering with MOYC during this past year. What a lovely spirit and personality! We would always have a good laugh and interesting conversations about all sorts of things!

Lizzie, you are in my prayers. I got to meet you with my baby Gianna a few times at your house. You're a very beautiful, smart, sweet girl. God is with you always and will guide you through your journey of life without your mom here on earth. She will be constantly watching and praying for you from heaven.

We are so sorry to hear of Karen's passing. We had the pleasure of getting to know Karen and Lizzie through Young Survival Coalition networking get togethers. I met Karen through the Young Survival Coalition, which supports young women with breast cancer. She brought such hope and joy to the group. From the time we first met, it was clear to all that her greatest joy in this world was Lizzie.

Karen's grace and strength were inspirational to me. My heartful sympathies to her family. We are here to support you.
