Shine On will be dearly missed. She was an integral part of both Boston as well as the RI H3. We had a lovely memorial run in her memory in Boston a few weeks ago and reminisced. Long may she ShineOn!

To Karen's family: I am very sorry for your loss.
I knew Karen from the United Nations Association of Boulder County where she was a valued member of the board of directors from 2011 through 2015. I'll attach a photo of the 2014 board. Karen had worked in a law office, as I recall, where she acquired expertise in Excel. One of her important contributions to the UNABC was her organization of our scattered membership, mailing, and emailing data into sophisticated and workable spreadsheets. She then took over managing our newsletter and postcard mailings.
For a year or so after Karen left the board, she and I met for lunch a couple of times to exchange news about the UNABC and related matters. She seemed able to cope with various struggles in her life.
Thank you for publishing the obituary. I learned things that I had not known. She was grateful to you family members, especially Eric, for support. I agree with the person who wrote that Karen was funny and kind.
With best wishes,
Deborah Hayes (Boulder, Colorado) 303.494.4458
