FLORENCE " Funeral service for Mr. Evan VAN McIver will be held on Wed., 01-19-2005, 12 Noon, in the Monumental Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Sunset Memory Gardens, Backus Funeral Home.
He was the son of Mrs. Mae McIver Williams and the late John Little of Darlington, SC. He attended florence and Darlington Public Schools a graduate of WHS Class of 1964.
Evan was known for his many civic and community services: Auxiliary Policeman for the City of Florence, Housing Authority, Founder/President of the Golden Eagles Motorcycle Club, Gate City Lodge#276, Trustee of the Monumental Baptist Church, Crecent Temple $#148 an Past Potentate, Elks Lodge, Pee Dee Consistory #197, and Boy Scout Master.
Surviving Are: His Wife, Shirlyn K.McIver; 5 Sons, and 2 Daughters, Marshall, Michael (Sara), LeVance (Linda) McIver, Jerrod Rhames, and David Lee, Letha Davis, Yvonne Davis; 3 Stepdaughters, Toni Kennedy, Theresita Jacobs-Daniel (ROD). Patricia Robinson; 2 Brothers, Bishop Floyd (Annie) McIver and Elder Lorenzo (Kathleen) McIver Cathryn Wilds, Lillie Mae James, Mary Singletary and Willie Wilds; 3 Aunts and 1 Uncle
Wake Service 7 pm this evening Monumental Baptist Church, Florence
The family will receivemembers and friends at 200 Boswell Rd. Columbia and 905 E. Royal Street, Florence
