Karen (Marklein) Mosher, 55, of Helena, AL, formerly of Harbor Beach, passed away Saturday evening, Jan. 12, 2019, surrounded by her family. She was born to Lenore Barna and Gerald Marklein on April 17, 1963. She married Ron Mosher on Aug. 18, 1979. Karen attended OLLH and Harbor Beach Community Schools where she was known for infectious smile & laugh. She could light up a room when she walked in. She acquired the nickname "Smiley." She was deeply loved by her family and close friends. She lived for the days that she could spend time with her grandchildren. Camping out on the living room floor, dance parties, baking & preparing them for school when they were little. She always had a lesson for them to learn. Karen loved her family with all her heart, even though they are miles apart. Karen leaves behind her husband Ron of 40 years, two sons, Jeremy (Jessica) Mosher of Shelby, AL and Darren (Candie) Mosher of Calera, AL. Grandchildren Leelan 10, Morgan 6, Amelia (Mia) 8, and Maverick 6 months. Her special friend and rescue pup, Merle. Her mother & step father, Lenore and Mike Barna of Romulus, MI, her father & step mother Gerald and Judy Marklein of Bad Axe, MI. Sisters Nancy Bennett of Trenton, MI, Joan (John) Woodward of Harbor Beach, MI, Sarah (Laszlo) Marklein of Southfield, MI Brothers Gary Marklein of Romulus, MI and Roy Marklein of Columbia, TN Her mother in law, Shirley Newton Sister in laws, Naomi Jean (Kevin) Engel, Robin (Mike) Roberts, Rita (James) Swartz, Gisela (Gigi) Siemen, Mary (Mark) Westrik & brother in law Marvin (Crystal) Mosher. Several nieces & nephews. Karen has been cremated. A memorial service is being planned to celebrate Karen's life and will be held at a later date in Harbor Beach.
