Bob,
My sincere & profound sympathies to you and your family at the loss of Karen. She never ceased to amaze me during my tenure with the department. Her ability to smile, especially in the face of adversity of the challenges, and the negativity of the environment she faced every day, were truly a tribute to her character. She will be missed, certainly by you and the family, but also by those who were privileged to have known her. May she rest in peace and continue to look down upon those whom she so ardently loved.
