I played bass with Karen. Acoustic upright, doghouse bass. I played with her here locally in knoxville, as well as on the road. All the way down to Florida and alabama. I played on multiple recordings in the studio and loved being a part of her band. Karen and Terry even let me stay in their hotel room after the show, where i slept on the couch and irritated them all night with my terrible snooring. I played with her solo, with Draper, Reynolds, Rodgers at the knoxville museum of art... to a PACKED audience, and at several PRIDE events... it was all a great joy. Every minute. When i was going thru a divorce, she offered me a place to stay! A truly beautiful person in every way. I love you, Karen. Cant wait to see you again. God´s choir just got ALOT BETTER.

I was Terry's co-worker, so I only shared time with Karen on a few occasions -- but that was all it took to know that she was a special person. A kind-hearted soul who loved life and sharing hers with Terry meant the world to her. Over the years of following her on Facebook, I was inspired time and time again by the heartfelt messages that she would post so others would know exactly how much Terry meant to her. And I know that same love was reciprocated by Terry. So, please, everyone who knew this beautiful couple, give Terry all the support you possibly can. I know she's devastated by this loss.

I had just renewed our friendship. I'm heartbroken that one of our angels has left us. However, heaven better watch out - Laughter and joy just walked in! The heavenly choir just got a new songwriter! You be so very missed my friend.

Sis...how can I tell you how much I loved you...you and Terry have contributed more to Sherree and my life than anyone...from going to your house concerts , to following you to Nashville, Charlotte, Chattanooga, and so many wonderful venues in Knoxville...I was so proud to play a minor role in Writers Block...you exposed Sherree and me to so many wonderful achievements and milestones in your musical life...and I still say that you were one of the best guitarists I have EVER heard ! It has truly been an honor to have you in my life...and the world is much emptier without your sweet voice and presence..I love you, sis , and wish you eternal peace

We have lost such a light. My family has known Karen and Terry for over thirty years, both as neighbors and as friends. Karen was the most selfless, kind hearted soul. We will all miss her terribly.

Meeting Karen truly changed my life for forever. Being her Co-host on Writer's Block at WDVX & WFIV will always be one of the highlights of my life. When we first met it was like we had known each other all of our lives. She will always be missed and never forgotten. She helped countless musicians further their career in countless ways. I am sure that she never said no to anyone that ever asked for her help. Karen was one of the most giving people that I have ever met in my life. Goodbye my friend.

She will always mean the world to me. I hate the idea that my kids won´t meet her on earth, but they will forever know about the amazing and beautiful legacy that will outlive us all. Much love to Terry and the family, she was a bright spot in every life she touched!

I met Karen 18 years ago at her highly successful KMA concerts. Immediately we became fast friends. She took me under her wing and taught me her craft of writing songs. She produced my first CD and practically co-wrote every song on my second. Our spirits connected on a different level. She lovingly named me her "Doodah" and still today the name sticks. She had the voice of an angel, a heart truly made of gold and the fiercest love for her Terry than anyone on the planet. Anyone who has ever met her will never forget her. Especially me. Rest easy, K.

She is one of the best songwriters, musicians and singers I'd ever heard. The kindest heart and the funniest of responses and memories for me. I never got to meet Karen in person, but she adorned our home many times via her music. Every time I played her music on my show, it got a lot of likes and interest.
Heaven got an angel and we were all blessed to know her while she was here. She's on a different mission now. I'm sure she will be speaking into budding songwriter's ears out there. Love to Terry and Family, from our Family. Rest in Power and Joy, Karen. (and a little track 14 when I need it, all day long. If you know, you know)
