Karen Mary Waske

Karen Mary Waske, 70, of La Quinta, California, passed away June 9, 2023. Karen Mary Celusta was born on January 21, 1953, in Detroit, Michigan, the loving daughter of Edward and Doreen Celusta. Left to cherish her memory are her devoted husband of 54 years, Joe, their children Joseph, Jess (Colleen), and Jonathon (Nicole), as well as her sisters Lisa Celusta and Diane Woolbright. Karen was the beloved grandmother of Claudia, Jonathon, Elle, Eric, Grace, and Emma. Karen is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Paul and Brian, and her sister Lynn. A funeral mass will be held at 10:30am on Friday, August 25, 2023, at St. Patrick Parish in Brighton, Michigan, with a visitation in the vestibule starting at 9:30am and a luncheon immediately following. Donations in her memory can be made to St. Jude Hospital and St. Joseph's Indian School.
