Karl, seems not very long ago, I heard your laugh. You left a big hole in the ham community, buddy. Here's hoping you and your family enjoyed the reunion that we all are promised. Take care, old friend... and 73 "TC" - WEAJ

Pretty strange not to hear your chuckle, buddy. A life well spent, old friend.

I met Karl twice when he visited his friend Norman G3ZCV in the UK. I became firm friends over the internet and built him a basic website similar to my own. He would make attempts to tinker with it and then called me to fix it! We used camera's to communicate before the days of Zoom etc. I was able to view his car moving around Denver via his mobile ham radio. He is greatly missed seeing him on his laptop in his kitchen. Rest in Peace my friend.

A delightful guy with an infectious laugh. We swapped many stories and experiences over the years. I'm of Austrian origin myself, so there was that connection as well. What do you say when a friend of many years, both in person and over the radio, no longer can speak to you or make you laugh? You may be gone, but you're NOT forgotten Karl - KELE will live on.... dobro notz' ogada

It saddens me to know that this quiet peaceful man has died. To Stephen, Thomas, and Monika I extend my sincere condolences and hope that you can find comfort in the beautiful memories you have of your father.

Karl Heinze was a quiet guy who respected by his many friends. He helped many of them, myself included, with his knowledge of electronic issues, yet never sought recognition for his efforts. He will be missed by more than he realizes.
