I remember Sonny's birthday today because it is the day after mine and we were close while growing up in Cattaraugus. He was always kind and generous to me and a point of light during a dim time. I remember swimming at his house, and once his mom took us to the track in Little Valley when she was running the horses in harness racing. We had a lot of fun together. I do think of him at this time every year and am very sorry he passed so young. I would like his family to know he brought happiness to many, including me. May God grant you peace.

Mr. and Mrs. Ortner, I am so sorry to hear of Sonny's passing. I went to school in Catt. with him and we shared a lot of fun times back then. Your son was always a breath of fresh air and I am only sorry that I did not stay in contact and lost touch. He was always so kind to me. My condolences, Mary Vella
