ITS REALLY HARD TO BELEIVE THAT KARLA IS GONE AND ITS BEEN THAT LONG. BUT HER NAME COMES UP FROM TIME TO TIME AND I ALWAYS SAY THERE WAS NO ONE AND I MEAN NO ONE THAT I THOUGHT WAS A BETTER SINGER THAN MISS KARLA THIBOUDEAU '' What a voice"!!!!!!!!!! KARLA!! YOU ARE SADLY MISSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Karla was one of my closest friends growing up...so many fond memories of staying overnight at her house, living it up at the Keag dances, being a groupie at her band practices, watching Dark Shadows after school, and walking into Mattanawcook Academy for the first time our sophomore year...Karla, I love you and will miss you dearly...Your suffering is finally over; rest in peace. Sending much peace and love to Craig, Polly and Marla.

I met Karla in Maryland in the mid 1980's with Noel Paul and the Bodyworks band. She was so impressed that our "folk" group was singing her song Not as we are at our masses. Lovely lady and Christian woman.

My deepest sympathies to the family of my most beautiful and talented cousin Karla. I remember what a sweet young lady she was growing up having visited her and her family in Keag. I was fortunate to get to sing with her a few times and enjoyed listening to her beautiful voice. She will be terribly missed by all who knew her. I know she will be singing in Heaven. I love you cousin.

I remember the Christmas parties at Aunt Pollys when Karla would let me sit at the piano with her. She always made me laugh with her elf impersonation. I was amazed by her talent and ability to light up the whole room. Karla was a beautiful person and she had a spirit like no other. Karla you will be greatly missed. Give Papa and Uncle Bud a big kiss from me! I know you are all watching over us.

Karla, was definitely a great inspiration to me. She helped through a rough time in my life, in high school, by being a friend.
I'm glad I have the memories of visiting her home and jammin' on the piano and singing together. And that very special moment we sang together in the High School assembly, " Down By The River ".
She touched so many people, so, she will always live on with us, in memory.

A beautiful voice, a beautiful smile, a beautiful person...Karla will be forever in my heart as one of my greatest inspirations! So many will miss her and my deepest condolences go out to the Thibodeau and Chamberlain familys!

I was shocked to learn the recent passing of my friend and former roommate, Karla. Our lost is Heaven's gain. One day, we will see her again and rejoice with her. I extend my prayers and condolences to her family and friends.

Just heard about Karla's passing when I came to Maine for vacation. What a flood of memories it was to think about the girl who was one of my best friends for years and years - and how often we stayed back and forth from Keag to the Narrows. Great memories. We all knew way back when what a talent she had and chalked it up to her lucky toes!

May she sing forever with the angels until we meet again.

karla, i will never forget growing up with you singing and playing the piano for me! you must have played the theme from "combat" to me a million times! ill never forget the smile on your face every time i asked! ill love you forever "cuz", and say hi to sherri for me! marla if there is anything i can ever do for you i am only a phonecall away! i love you and aunt polly dearly so dont hesitate to ask!!

Karla was without a doubt my best friend in high school. I loved spending time with her family. We always managed to get caught hitch hiking back to Lincoln by her dad. The whole family made me feel so welcome and I loved it there. We were rebels without a clue and there was not too much we did not dare to try even one time. I loved to go to the Shiner dances where they hired her to sing. With that twinkle in her eyes she would say just watch the magic unfold. The women all dressed up in their pretty dressed so prim and proper. The the midnight hour and the party would begin. Only Karla could laugh and sing like that. One night she stayed at our house and she got this grin on her face. It was then she decided she was going to teach my younger brother how to kiss. Glenn to this day will tell you that he will never forget that!! Karla was a faithful friend. One winter dad would not give me the money I needed for a really cool pair of boots. Karla gave me the extra money from her singing so we could be cool together. I never forgot that. The world has lost a very special person but heaven had gained one. Your all in my thoughts and prayers at this very difficult time.

It has been decades since I last spoke with Karla. I attended a Bodyworks concert in Lincoln, NE and surprised her with a small bouquet of flowers. We had a lovely visit after her show, and spoke of high school antics and friends. Such a talented lady. My deepest condolences to all of her family.

I miss you Karla. You were the best neighbor and friend.

I loved Karla. I will shed many tears and wish that I had stayed in touch with her.

I don't remember Karla too well, but what I do remember of her is her voice when she came to see my sister and she sang a song for me. All I kept thinking is that she had a very soft voice and it went with her looks. She is a very beauitful Lady. So Sorry to hear of your lost and I Pray and send my deepest sympathy to all of you.

i first met karla when she sang for the shields brothers band . what a beautiful person . i continued seeing her perform in other bands in bangor . she used to perform at the Bounty where i worked at one time . always made me smile and laugh . rip karla .

Although it has been years since I have seen Karla, she always had a smile for us kids when she arrived. She had an energy that lit up a room and we always wanted to be around her! You will be missed by so many. Love, Rachael

I am so saddened to have read of the passing of Karla. I taught Karla in the Kindergarten in Mattawamkeag. We had a talent show and she pantomimed "Up A Lazy River" and was a great hit. Her beautiful voice surfaced and continued for others to enjoy. My heartfelt condolences go out to her family. Craig, I also had you as a student in Kindergarten. I do not believe she has died, but passed on to an extension of life where she will bless others with her song and heart and love. Karla was so special in so many ways. She may have left us mortals too soon but many others will benefit from her crossing.

I have not seen Karla for many years, but she touched my heart with her voice, her beautiful and sincere spirit. She was singing with the Lincoln Troubadours and what a voice. How the angels will welcome her singing. Rest in peace my dear friend.

I was so deeply saddened to hear of Karla`s passing,although I haven`t known Karla for many years I will never forget all the wonderful times at her home as a young child,growing up across the street from them we had alot of memories,you could always find Karla smiling,singing and playing the piano.She is at peace now and is surely singing and smiling down on us all,my heart is with you all at this time of sorrow.

I will always remember her smile, her gift of sharing a joke and her lighthearted loving ways. She held a sweet place in my heart.

Even though I haven't seen Karla for many years, I think of her sometimes and the fun times with the gang the last two years of high school. I remember the first time I saw Karla. A high school dance and her and the Shield brothers, the Legends I think, playing. She looked so tiny on stage. I know she will keep on singing, a small woman with a huge heart and a booming voice.

I remember Karla's incredible voice and now she is singing with the angels as she dances with Jesus. We will meet again someday Karla. Polly, Marla and Craig, No words can reveal the sincere, emotional feelings I have for everyone's loss!! Karla was one of a kind and such a beautiful person. I always have and always will keep in my heart the Christmas Eves you opened your home to my family for the get-to-gether celebrations and Karla's playing and singing around the piano. I am so sorry to read about Karla. I somehow missed the obituary when she passed. She was certainly a great person, singer and loved God. I knew her years ago when we were in High School and she sang in our band...but I still remember her contagious laugh. My prayers, and thoughts are with her family and friends.
