Kasey J. Kelley, 29, of Lafayette, died at 2:15 PM Tuesday at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. He was born March 24, 1981 in Lafayette and has lived here his entire life. Kasey graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School in 1999, had attended Purdue University and received an Associate Degree in Applied Sciences from Ivy Tech. His marriage was to Kelly R. Lancaster on September 25, 2004 in Lafayette and she survives. Kasey worked as a plumber and pipefitter with the Plumbers and Steam Fitters Local Union #157 in Lafayette for the past 9 years. Kasey was an avid Colts fan, enjoyed all Purdue sports, and was a fan of the Atlanta Braves baseball team. In addition, he enjoyed golf, baseball, football and basketball and he spent time working on his Mustang sports car. Survivors in addition to his wife include three daughters, Madison and twin daughters Myah and Mallory Kelley, all at home, his father and step-mother, Robert "Jack" and Vicki Kelley of Mulberry, his mother and step-father, Sara and Arni Harlan of Lafayette, his sister, Kristi (hus:Juan) Gaeta of Lafayette, 2 step-brothers; Mark (wife: Melody) Crum of Southhaven, Mississippi and Rob (wife: Colette) Harlan of Deerfield, IL, 2 step-sisters; Melanie (hus: John) Hildebrandt of Schumburg, IL and Gail (hus: Brian) Dick of Lafayette, his wife's parents; Denny and Terri Lancaster of Lafayette, his wife's grandmother, Shirley (Mimi) Leonard of Fowler, sister-in-law, Rachael (hus: Josh) Hunnicutt of Racine, WI and brother-in-law, Brandon Lancaster of Lafayette, 3 nephews: Jordan, Jacob, and Noah Gaeta and many other nieces and nephews very dear to Kasey's heart. Kasey was a devoted husband and loving father. His girls meant the world to him. He was passionate, kind, and gentle with a great sense of humor. Kasey loved everyone and everyone who knew him loved him. Kasey was always happy and loved his work as a Union Plumber and Pipefitter. He took pride in his work and loved his union brothers. Kasey continues to be an inspiration to others and has touched many lives. Memorial visitation will be Saturday 2-6 PM at First Baptist Church, 411 N. 7th Street with the Celebration Memorial Service at 6 PM with the Rev. Dr. Carl Malmgren and Rev. Peg Nowling officiating. Hippensteel Funeral Home entrusted with the care of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Kasey Kelley Childrens' Fund c/o Old National Bank.
