Katelin touched many people deeply.Friendly ,courteous ,pretty,always trying her best.Two years have passed,but she will never be forgotten.Blessings to her family.She was a special lady!

My sympathies go out to the Vinge family, Katie was an angel on earth and with no doubt in my mind when she got to Heaven, she took on the role of a very special Angel and is always with everyone that had the privilege of knowing her.

While reading the article, my mind was preparing a road-trip.

I just read the BBC Travel article and was so enjoying reading about the new life this young woman's restaurant had brought to her town - and then utterly dismayed to read of her sudden and untimely death. Such a sad twist of fate. What a loss to the community. Deepest condolences to her friends and family.

I just read the beautiful article on BBC Travel about Forget and was shocked to see that this amazing and talented Katie had been taken so soon. Please accept my deepest sympathies.

I read the article published on BBC Travel and was struck by this young woman, her willingness to follow her dreams undaunted by the difficulties associated with such a remote location. As I was reading through the article I paused to contemplate what makes a person have such unwavering self belief. My thoughts were that a person such as this is a product of being surrounded by people who offered love and encouragement and that Katie is a special person who allowed that love and encouragement to flourish.
On reaching the end of the article and reading of your loved ones tragic accident. I felt compelled to tell you,her loved ones how very deeply sorry I am for your loss.

My goodness, how deeply sorry I am for your loss. I was reading this beautiful and uplifting story, first about a small town and then about a young and vivacious chef who dreamed of owning her own place and placing her mark in her own story book chapter. Then at the end I get whalloped in the face by the tragic news that Katie is gone. She may be gone physically but know in all god's intentions that she remains not only within you (family) but in each and every person she touched with her talent and warm personality. Again, my sincere condolences.

Today, I read about your daughter, sister, wife, friend, on BBC News. I am captivated by her courage to live life as her true and authentic self. So often we are afraid to follow our dreams because there is always some excuse or bump in the road not work overcoming. From the feature of Katelin I can tell that she touched many lives around her and had a true passion for what she did. I am deeply sorry for your loss.
