Katherine Houlihan Poole beloved wife of Gregory, loving mother of Ryan and Courtney, and devoted daughter of Deborah Guest Houlihan (deceased) and John G. Houlihan, passed away on June 8, 2013. She was 40 years old. Kate lived a life of love and joy. Kate graduated from Connecticut College in 1996 with a B.A. degree in English. While at Connecticut College, she met the love of her life and her best friend, Greg. They married in 2001 at Kates favorite place, her family home in Maine. Their children, Ryan and Courtney, filled Kates days with happiness. In addition to her husband and children, Kate is survived by her father, John G. Houlihan and step-mother, Barbara M. Houlihan; siisters Meghan Vaillancourt and her husband Kevin, Jennifer Houlihan and her husband Eric Fagundes; her brothers, John M. Houlihan, and Michael M. Houlihan. During Kates illness, she was surrounded by family and friends. Kate considered herself fortunate to have so much support. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Kate can be made to: Project to support families who cannot afford the costs associated with a major illness | Foundation for Morristown Medical Center, Project Independence, 475 South Street, Morristown, NJ 07960. Visiting hours will be on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 from 5:00-8:00pm at Burroughs, Kohr & Dangler Funeral Home, 106 Main Street, Madison.. A Funeral Mass for Kate will be celebrated on Thursday, June 13, 2013 at 10:30am at St. Vincent Martyr Church, 26 Green Village Road, Madison. A private interment will be on June 28, 2013 i n Wells, Maine.

I did Katherine's nails for some time. We had the best conversations every visit . I felt she was someone I knew forever . We always talked about the kids and what a great family she has. I loved all her stories about the whole families trip in the summer to her dads!!!! I felt I was their!! I had the pleasure of seeing her beautiful life through her !!! All my love & prayers to you all!!!!
