Kathy worked with me during my first year teaching Summer School. She was gracious, savvy, intelligent, supportive, and got in there and worked. Her support was total. I remember wearing a linen dress one day that had a slit in the back. On the way to work the slit ripped and became quite revealing. Kathy said "No problem. You just face toward the kids when they come in, and I´ll sew this up!" And she did ... with a smile that made everything fun.

In the ensuing years, I loved when she subbed with me. She was a Class Act. A true friend. A loving wife.

Phillip, I didn't know your wife Kathy, but she sounds like a perfectly delightful person that I know I would be friends with. My heart is saddened for your loss. Prayers for her soul and your family.

My first memory of Kathy was dinner at my daughter´s house. Jennifer met Kathy and Phil who lived down the street from her and said I would love them. Boy was she right! Our friendship grew from there. We had many fun times together and I will never forget her!
