I was sure Kay had passed when my phone calls went unanswered, and then her number not in service. Only today I found out for sure.
Kay was my Mom´s 1st cousin, although they never met....the Maloney's were a huge group.
I met Kay on my first trip over to Nanaimo a number of years ago. But many many years ago we had written many times. Then she was still at home looking after her husband. We both shared the passion of genealogy.
Now she´s with all those ancestors we loved to talk about and solved many mysteries
Such a wonderful person

She was a beautiful lady, in more ways then i can count. She taught me so much in gardening, things i will never forget. She was amazing with her grandaughter, even made her a teddy bear picnic quilt that is precious to us. And of course the book she made that had her grandaughters name in it along with her cousins. Loved her cooking , and we had a good giggle over her burnt sugar gravy all the time =) You will be missed. I hope you are dancing in heaven with grandpa, and hugging shayne for us !!

My sincerest condolences to Glen, Margaret and their family.
I first met Kay in her retirement home. I thought my goodness she always had the biggest smile that was so heartwarming. Such a precious and sweet lady. She will be missed.
