Kathleen Bonfilio Obituary

The family of Kathleen Kelley Bonfilio of Marshfield, formerly of Dedham, is deeply saddened to announce her passing on March 10, 2025, at the age of 75. Kathleen (Kathy) was born in Boston, MA, to Arthur and Evelyn Kelley (nee Timmons). She was one of twelve children and grew up with six sisters and five brothers, each of whom cherished her cheerful and outgoing nature. Kathy was known for her artistic and creative flair, her love of lifelong friendships, and love of family.

Kathy was predeceased by her former husband, Salvatore Bonfilio, in 2019 and also by her eldest son, Salvatore Bonfilio Junior, in the same year. She is survived by her two sons, Nicholas Bonfilio, of Foxboro, and his former wife Heather (Jack), and Zachary Bonfilio of Texas.

She also leaves behind two beloved grandchildren: Evelyn and Logan Bonfilio, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Kathy is also survived by her loving siblings and their spouses: Paul Kelley and his wife Joanne of North Port, FL; Peter Kelley of Sacramento, CA; Thomas Kelley and his wife Ginger of Plymouth, MA and FL; Anna Kelley of Kingston, MA; Cecelia Kelley-Arter and her husband Philip Arter of Los Osos, CA; Patricia Kelley Morris of Hingham, MA; JoAnne Woll and her husband Vinnie of Raleigh, NC; and Louise Carella-Kelley of Stuart, FL. She was predeceased by her brothers Frank Kelley and Patrick Kelley, and her sister Maureen Kelley Marlowe.

The family extends their deepest gratitude to the staff at Maristhill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Waltham; Norwell VNA and Hospice in Norwell, and the Pat Roche Hospice Home in Hingham for the loving care they provided Kathy during her final year.

Kathy's family invites all who knew her to join them in celebrating her life. A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, May 16, 2025, in Saint Ann by the Sea Church, 587 Ocean Street, Marshfield at 10:30 am. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Kathleen Kelley Bonfilio to: Glioblastoma Research Organization or the Nursing Care Centers mentioned.

Here´s some photos for my sister Kathleen. We are all saddened with her passing but must remember that she is no longer suffering and her pain is replaced with the happiness of being with her loved ones that have gone before her. Rest in peace Kath we will take care of your tree , love you hugs Tricia
