Riley Ardwin Flemmer, 82, of Preston, passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2025, at his home in Preston following a long battle with cancer.
Riley was born on March 27, 1943, in Golden Valley, ND, the son of Ardwin and Elsie (Weidner) Flemmer.
Riley worked in the mineral mines in Gas Hills, WY, did road construction, and worked on oil rigs. Later on in life, he worked at Axtell Chevrolet in Logan, UT.
Riley will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. He loved his sisters, his nieces, and his nephews. His love for the Lord was very evident. He enjoyed fellowship with his church family. He was able to spend numerous winters in Yuma, AZ, with Delmar and Sharon, which he really enjoyed. While there, he golfed almost daily with his friend Ron, and they put numerous puzzles together. He also enjoyed riding his bike. He ran a marathon and two half-marathons with Wayne. He enjoyed being out in God's creation, panning for gold with Sandy,
Recently, Riley's house sprung a leak and he decided to build a Tiny House. He was doing all the work himself at 81 years of age, with occasional help from his nephew Zack and Sandy, who was his general contractor. His cancer progressed to his lungs and won the battle. Riley was unable to finish his earthly home, and he traded his Tiny House for a Mansion with streets of Gold.
Riley was survived by his stepdaughter, Belinda Wonderly, sisters Sandy (Wayne) Nelson of Kemmerer, WY, and Wanda (Gary) Beus of Logan, UT, and brother-in-law Delmar Kruckenberg of Bismarck, ND. Nieces and Nephews, Julie (Curt) Kittelson, Brenda Kruckenberg, Rydel Nelson, Rick (Norma) Nelson, Rhonda (Carlos) Garcia, China (Spencer) Larsen, Josh (Alisha) Beus, and Zach Beus.
Riley was preceded in death by his parents, Ardwin and Elsie Flemmer, and his sister Yvonne Sharon Kruckenberg.
We love you, Riley, and we will miss your infectious chuckle and smile until we meet again!
