I would like to send my sincere condolances to the family of such a great woman: Kathleen (Kathi Ducks) Colegrove. I knew Kathi my entire life while growing up on the Hoopa Valley Indian Reservation. She is the mother to my classmate and pal Allie (McGrove) McCovey. I really got to know Kathi while I was maturing into a young woman and her wisdom and guidance shaped me into who I am today. Kathi had a heart of gold and she cared deeply about the people she knew. Kathi fed me me when I was hungry and clothed me when I had no money for new clothes during the winter of 2003 and listened to me unpredjudicial and I was able to tell her anything even if it went against my better charachter. She listen to me and gave me the best advice as any mother would give her own child. If I ever needed any help with a project; for example bead work or regalia making. She was there with her thought and input on how it could be made if I got stuck and didn't know how to finish whatever I was making. She helped me one winter get fire wood for my own elderly mother. Not only did she split the cord of wood and stack it it was pouring down rain. I never have forgot that and how important it is we always put an elders needs before our own. I have her to thank for so much I could never put it all into words. Kathi shared many stories of her life with me, growing up, raising her wonderful children whom she loved so much. I would like to thank her parents for bringing such a wonderful person into our world. For those who were fortunate enought to have known such an amazing lady. She did so much for others and taugh us all a little something about ourselves. She will truely be missed by all her friends and reletives. I am sorry I am not able to attend the services of someone who I owe so much too. Thank You and god bless.

My last memory of Kathy, was about 38yrs.ago. I was about 8yrs.old staying at Bunzi & Jackie (Brown) Colegrove's house, for a summmer visit. (Francene "Bucky" was about 1yrs.old) Kathy & Farron stopped by swinging their long hair. Kathy had boots on and I just remember what a nice look'n couple they were. Being a young child, I thought to myself, I wana look just like her.(she lookd like a barbie). Sending much needed prayer, to the Colegrove Family & Friends
