KATHLEEN DYAS VINELAND Kathleen Dyas (Meehan) died at home in Vineland, NJ, on Monday, April 27, 2009 after a long illness. She was born in Brooklyn NY, the second of five girls, to James and Catherine (Peg) Meehan. After marriage, Kathleen moved to Whippany, NJ, where her and husband Gerald raised three children. She worked as a book keeper for many years until moving to Millville and eventually Vineland. Kathleen was also a resident of Englewood, FL, and spent several months there each year enjoying warm weather on her lanai and also her many friends. Kathleen was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Gerald; her sister, Margaret (Peggy) Hart; and her daughter-in-law, Mary Dyas. She is survived by three children, James Dyas and his wife Theresa of Taylor, SC, Gerald Dyas of Clearwater, FL, and Kathryn Ryan of Millville, NJ; three sisters, Doris Towers of Mt. Vernon, NY, and Patricia Lawrence and husband Richard of Monmouth, NJ, and Marie Kelly of Union, NJ; and five grandchildren, Thomas, Stephen, Rachel, Sydney and Lilly. She is also survived by one great-granddaughter, Lauren; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be private at the discretion of the family. The family requests that donations be made in her memory to the SJ Healthcare HospiceCare, PO Box 160, Bridgeton, NJ 08302, or the Millville Center Patient Recreation Dept., 54 Sharp Street, Millville, NJ 08332. Funeral arrangements were made through Barr Funeral Home in Millville, NJ.

Jimmy, Jerry, and Kathy I'm sorry to see this. I lost my Mom in November and it sucked. Jerry I know this is real tough for you, too many in too short of a time.
