Dear Kathy,

I am very saddened to learn of Billie's passing last month. Kathy, as you might remember, she and my mother, Marselia "Skippy" Kilroe, were fast friends through the years -- to my knowledge, especially during the first four or five years of the 1960's when we lived in Bradbury Hills near Santa Anita Racetrack. At a later time, I guess from 1990 to 1996, she was extremely helpful to me and my late stepfather, Jim Kilroe, during a bad-health, difficult time in his last years. In essence, Billie was "always there" when most needed and treated me as a member of her extended family. For that, and for her caring 4:00AM PST telephone calls about important things, I will always remember her warmly.

I remember you, too, with happiness and a certain nostalgia of long ago. I am very sorry to read of your mother's passing and this loss of my friend.

Dear Kathy and Peter, Michael and Kristin:

We're sad to read of Bill's passing, and extend our condolences...especially sorry now that we didn't visit over what turned out to be a hectic Christmas. Bill was Ernest's great friend and comfort, and we shared his regard and affection. A grand lady, who will always be dear to us. Fondly from us all.

Kathy,

I am so sad to hear of the death of your mother. Our family loved her a great deal.

My mother Kay had a massive stroke March 15, died on the 17th and was burried in Santa Barbara last week.

We tried to find your number but we were not able to. I was shocked to find this internet announcement but hope she went quickly and peacefully.

Best Regrads,

Price Paschall

Dear Kathy, Peter, Michael, Kristin - I am deeply sorry to learn the sad news. Although I have known Bill for only the past two years or so, I found her a very cute old lady and could feel how kind a person she was. She was always cheerful despite her ailments, especially under the loving care and support of a wonderful family. She will be greatly missed.

Dear Kathy, Peter. Kirsten and Michael,
Dana and I were saddened to hear of Bill's death. She was so admired by so many and we especially felt fortunate to have known her. And, of course, she was the most special person to Yvonne. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Kathy, Michael, Kristen and Peter- My thoughts are with you all at this very sad time. I fondly remember Aunt Bill. She was such a presence in my life. On occassion I was told as a young girl that Aunt Bill would be coming for family Christmas dinners at Granville Street, or my birthday in August and how excited I was to see her. She was always very generous and very thoughtfull. Her warmth and love for my father was ever present. They shared many passions together. Racing, of course, and not to forget to mention bridge. I always remarked to myself how elegant a lady Aunt Bill was as she dealt the cards with her beautifully manicured nails. She was very special in so many ways. And she was tremendously blessed to have you her family who meant everything to her. My best to you all.
