SHREVEPORT, LA - A Mass of Christian burial for Kathleen Wilson Johnson, 55, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 21, 2006 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Shreveport, LA. Officiating will be Father Michael Russo, of Franklin, LA, and Monsignor Earl Provenza, Pastor of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Forest Park Cemetery, St. Vincent Avenue.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, October 20, 2006 at Forest Park Funeral Home, 1201 Louisiana Avenue, Shreveport, LA with a Vigil service to begin at 6:00 p.m. A Rosary will be recited by Sister Sharon Rambin.
Mrs. Johnson, a native of Bossier City, LA and former resident of Athens, LA, passed away Tuesday, October 17, 2006, in Shreveport, LA. She taught religion in the Monroe area Catholic school system for seven years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy R. Johnson and her parents, N.A. "Fatz" Wilson and Wilda Wilson Williams.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by two daughters, Rachel Wilson Mabey and husband Russell of Shreveport, LA and Ivy Elise Meginley Johnson of Baton Rouge, LA; two sisters, Wilda Baker and husband Laurence of Houston, TX and Norma Rodgers and husband Robert of Shreveport, LA; and granddaughter, Diana Elise Mabey.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Rodgers, Craig Rodgers, Robert B. Rodgers, Kenneth Johnson, Brandon Wilson and Christopher Epstein.
Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Rodgers, Laurence Baker, Kirby Wilson and Jon Baker.

Rachel and Ivy, I taught with your mom at Our Lady of Fatima and St. Frederick in Monroe. She was a great friend and a shoulder to cry on when I needed one. She will surely be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time.

Rachel & Ivy, your Mother has been a friend of mine for years, dating back to her years working at Goff, Caskey & Davis in Arcadia. She was always so kind and helpful. I was so excited when she came to work with us and I got to know her even better. I feel blessed to have known her. I know that this has been a tough year for you all but just know that she's at rest and is in a much better place.
