On Sunday January 1, 2023, in her 77th year Kathy passed after a brief illness surrounded by family. Kathy grew up in Port Robinson in a house full of siblings and love. Predeceased by her husband Jerry (2017), father Robert, mother Elinore, brother Jack (Betty), and sisters Helen (late Jack), Mary (Gord), Joan (late Garth). Survived by sisters Carol, Linda (late Jerry), and Judy (Rod). Kathy will be fondly remembered by the many Blance/Murray nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, relatives, and friends. Kathy leaves behind two daughters Debbrah Lif and Dawn Marie Wheelhouse (Chris). She was an amazing grandma to Roan, Autumn, Miranda, and Jake. Kathy was well known for her gift to care for others, feeding everyone (family, friends and neighbours), and serving her community through volunteer work. The family would like to thank the ICU team at the Welland General Hospital for the compassionate care they provided to Kathy. The family will have a private graveside inurnment at Doan's Ridge Cemetery in the spring. As an expression of sympathy donations may be made to the Holy Trinity hygiene and food pantry program. I worked closely with Kathy as a volunteer in the Holy Trinity Church Food and Hygiene Pantry. She became a dear friend, and I will miss her lovely smile and our chats about our families. Kathy was such a hard worker and was loved not only by the volunteers but also by the many clients we served. She will be hard to replace and will never be forgotten. RIP dear friend.

My deepest condolences to the Murray/Blance families. Kathy was one of the most kind, generous, and selfless people I knew, and I was honoured to be able to call her my friend. She was the first person to offer her help, before anyone had a chance to ask her. Heaven has gained an angel. May her daughters find comfort knowing that their parents are together again. I think the late afternoon cribbage game has been revived.

I volunteered with Kathy at Holy Trinity food bank. She was a great worker and a pleasure to work with. I can´t believe she´s gone. I worked with her on Jan 4th and we talked about how Christmas had been without her sister that just died. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family. She will be greatly missed.

My heart and prayers are with Kathy's family at this time. I was blessed to have her in my life as a friend and neighbour. I'd need another lifetime if I was to mention her many random acts of kindness. She will be missed and will hold a place in my heart forever

I have no personal memories of your mom I but was able to see a glimpse of her through your stories and watching the smile it brought to your face and it was easy to realize how much she means to you.
