Kathleen O’Donnell (Shields) age 85, passed away peacefully on Friday January 14, 2022. Kathleen O’Donnell was born on August 12, 1936 to Patrick and Grace Shields, sister to Johnny (Anna) Shields, Jimmy Shields, Ann (Sister Carmel Regina), Mary Grace (Kevin) Otto and sister in law Mary (Frank) Donahue. Kathleen is predeceased by her husband (Stephen O’Donnell), brothers Johnny and Jimmy, her sister Gracie (Harold). Kathleen was raised in a close-knit, Catholic Irish family in the Philadelphia area. She graduated from Little Flower High School in 1953. Kathleen married the love of her life, Stephen O’Donnell in May 17, 1958 and together welcomed 8 children.

Kathleen is survived by a large, loving Irish family. Her sister in law Mary (Frank) Donahue. Her children, Kathleen (late William) Dalton, Stephen (Dorothy) O’Donnell, Theresa O’Donnell, Joseph (Colleen) O’Donnell, Denise (Joseph) Weiler, Colleen (Joe) Bucci, Kelly Ann (Edward) Haas, Thomas (Jen) O’Donnell. She was the dearest Mom-Mom to 20 Grandchildren, William, Matthew, Brittany, Brianna, Ayden, Rachel, Ryan, Lauren, Caitlin, John, Joseph, Mackenzie, Dennis, Erin, Amanda, Jeffrey, Jessica, Ashley, Makayla and Thomas. She was a loving Great- Grandmother to 14 Great- Grandchildren, McKenna, Grayson, Emory, Finley, Ronan, Sofia, Bella, Alexcia, Kailey, Lorenzo, Reddick, Brayden, Carson and Timothy Jr.

Kathleen’s fun-loving dancing ways and smiling eyes were loved by all and will be dearly missed. Relatives and friends are invited to a celebration of Kathleen’s life, Saturday, January 22 2022 at St. Albert the Great Church, 212 Welsh Road, Huntingdon Valley PA 19006. Viewing at 9:00AM. Mass will be at 1030am. The burial services will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetary, 3301 W Cheltenham Ave, Philadelphia PA 19150. If desired, friends and family may make memorial contributions to Camilla Hall, 100 Maxis Drive, Malvern PA 19355.
