I just heard about Kathy's passing. I am so sorry for all her loved ones who are grieving her. We had been close friends grammer school until she moved away after high school. Lots of fun escapades in those years. I wish we had kept in better touch, just wanted to express my sympathy and how sorry for your loss. Sincerely, Nancy Bertalli Dunshee

We will miss you Sis. We only had one sister but you were the kindest, loving-est and strongest we could have hoped for. You cared for your loving husband Benny and sons Alan and Kris until cancer took hold.
You fought your battle with deadly leukemia bravely and with grace and courage. I admire you for strength and sense of humor in your darkest hour, joking when you were told doctors might have to amputate part of your foot saying "you didn't like those toes anyway". You also showed concern over my colonoscopy results (which were OK) while you were in the fight of your life. You were loved by all

My sympathies to the Saldana and Franz families on the great loss of a caring and kind woman. I hope the healing comes with time.
Kathy faced her illness with such strength, she amazed me. The only consolation is the pain is gone. I will miss our phone calls.

Dearest Godmother Kathleen Saldana, God has taken you but it seems that it was time. While my eyes and head weep for the loss that you had to leave us all behind far too soon, my heart understands that it was time and that you are no longer in pain. You have been the beacon and light in my life of what it means to live a life of sobriety, compassion and laughter. Until we meet again Auntie Kate. I love you.
