Dear Kate,
We will all miss you. I especially cherished the times we spent at home here in Illinois. I will always remember your funny repetitive sayings.
One of my favorites was, "Trust me, my first husband did," and another was, "Modesty is overrated."
I believe you lived a beautiful life. I am so grateful for the wonderful young man you raised, who has turned out to be an amazing husband. I also see my future in him; it gives me comfort knowing I´ll be taken care of because not many men can do that. He is truly special.
We will both miss you dearly. I´ll always treasure the moments when you couldn´t remember something. Martin would ask you, "Mom, what do you always remember?" and you would always smile back and say, "That I´m loved."
Your love and spirit will always be a part of us.
Love you always,
Bev

Hi. I met Kate when Bev got engaged to Marty. She was so sweet & seemed to really enjoy interacting with our young children. I happened to be in California when her grandchildren were visiting her in Lake Tahoe . She invited us for the day. She served us lunch & dinner & encouraged us to enjoy the lake. We stayed much later than we planned because she & her husband were such gracious hosts. I loved spending time with her over the years at various events. She will be missed! I´m so happy she got a chance to see so many great-children. I´m sure she´s holding Baby Atlas now before his birth.
