Kathleen Sielaff Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Nov. 3 to Nov. 4, 2022.
Kathleen ("Kathy") Ann Sielaff took her final breaths peacefully in her own home on October 31, 2022. She was born the youngest of three children to her parents Eleanor and Edmond on February 13, 1963.

Kathy studied accounting and took great pride in her achievements in that field. She earned the title of Vice President at the bank she worked at in Arkansas, and she was especially proud to later work at Joe Louis Arena until its closure.

Kathy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kurt Sielaff. She is survived by her two daughters, Jacqueline ("Jackie") Wallace and Kandice Sielaff, as well as her sister, Marie. She was continually delighted by her caring sons-in-law William Wallace and Anthony Datini. She adored her many sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, her nieces, and her nephews. There are certainly countless others who will remember her fondly, from her neighbors across the street to the people behind the counter at the store near her home, to those she met only briefly when she went out for breakfast every weekend.

Kathy was overwhelmed with the outpouring of support she received from her sisters-in-law (Patti, Anne, Linda, and Robin) and her close friends (Steve Smith and Sue Brozowski) who assisted with driving her for appointments and ensuring her home was accessible and safe for her while she battled her aggressive illness. Multiple other family members and friends made efforts to visit with her and keep her spirits up during this most difficult time. She frequently expressed her gratitude that she was unconditionally loved by so many.
