Kathryn Alexander

Kathryn Louise Alexander passed away peacefully on Monday, February 16, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones. She was 68 years old. Kathy spent over 40 years designing custom homes in the Twin Cities and beyond. She founded Alexander Design Group, Inc., which grew to solidify her name as a staple in the architectural design community. Known for her ability to turn "dream homes" into tangible realities through her intuitive nature, passion and imagination. Her hard work earned numerous national awards and the respect of the region's premier builders.

While her professional legacy is etched into the homes of the Twin Cities, her true masterpiece was the life she lived outside the office. She loved her family deeply, maintained the best of friendships, and was always ready to travel the globe on her next great adventure.

She is survived by her children Jennifer Thornberg (Greg), Brit Farley (Tim) and Brian Farquharson. As well as 20 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, her dedicated team at ADG, an incredible gang of girlfriends, and a community of homeowners whose lives were made more beautiful through her craft.
