Kathryn L. Cuppy

Kathryn L. Cuppy, 93, a resident of Long Grove, Iowa, died on Sunday, September 10, 2006, at Genesis Medical Center, West Campus in Davenport, Iowa. Her loving family will miss Grandma Cuppy dearly.
There will be no public visitation or service. A private family service will be held at Chambers Funeral Home, Eldridge. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John's United Methodist Church, 14th & Brady Streets, Davenport.
Kathryn Louise Hermanstorfer was born August 10, 1913, in Keokuk County, Keswick, Iowa, the daughter of George Reginald Hermanstorfer and Gertrude (Hale) Hermanstorfer. She married Harold Cuppy in 1934 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He preceded her in death in 1977.
For many years, Kathryn was credit manager at the Simon and Landauer Clothing Store in Davenport.
Kathryn was a wonderful, loving mom, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was a seemstress, fabulous baker, crocheted and knitted beautiful afghans, slippers, etc.
Those left to honor her memory are her three daughters, Myrna (Revis) McKee, of Fullerton, California, Janet (Don) Brandt, of Donahue, Iowa, and Marilyn (Fred) Jansen, of Long Grove, Iowa; her grandchildren, Suzanne (Gene) Kelly, of Fullerton, Richard McKee, of San Diego, California, Bob McKee, of Arnold, Missouri, Doug Brandt, of Chicago, Illinois, Stacy Brandt, of Overland Park, Kansas, Mark (Susan) Brandt, of Eldridge, Bill Brandt and Marcia Woods, of Davenport, Kathy Jansen, of Eldridge, Kris (Sue) Jansen, of Long Grove, Keith Jansen and Leesa Wayne, of Bettendorf, Iowa, Kevin (Wanda) Jansen, of Davenport, and Cindy Jansen, of Long Grove; her great-grandchildren, Kaela Brandt, Lee Brandt, Kraig Brandt, Amber Jansen, Levi Jansen, Kelly Jansen, Kyle Jansen, Mitch Jansen and Luke (Nikki) Jansen; and her sisters, Norma (Dale) Wolfe, of South English, Iowa, and Lucille Wilkins, of New Sharon, Iowa.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Harry Hermanstorfer, of Brooklyn, Iowa, and Vernon Hermanstorfer, of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
