Kathryn Lois Ingram

Kathryn Lois Ingram, also known as Gawk, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2024, at the age of 93 in Lewisville, Texas. She was born on October 16, 1930, at the Fort Bragg Military Base in Cumberland County, North Carolina, to Carl and Lucy (Moore) Funk.

Being always a member of a military family, Kathryn lived a vibrant and adventurous life, residing in various locations including North Carolina, Virginia, Hawaii, Okinawa, Europe, California, Arizona, Arkansas, and finally in Texas. Throughout her life, she embodied qualities of love, spirituality, care, and selflessness. Kathryn was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, always putting her family first.

Kathryn is survived by her loving daughter, Kimberly Sparks, and son-in-law, Craig Sparks. She is also survived by her son, Rick Brown, and daughter-in-law, Melanie Brown, as well as her son, Jeffrey Brown, and daughter-in-law, Julie Brown. Kathryn will be dearly missed by her step-sons, Phil Ingram and Steve Ingram, along with her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and two great, great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Faye Spear, her brothers George Funk and David Funk, her parents Carl and Lucy Funk, and her beloved husband, Jerry Ingram.

Kathryn's faith was an integral part of her life. She was actively involved in her church in Arkansas and found solace and strength in her spiritual journey. In addition to her devotion to her faith, Kathryn cherished her time with her children and grandchildren. Her love and care for them knew no bounds.
