Wow, what a great life history. I knew Kathryn in Provo 1978. We dated some over the summer. Fondest memories were going to an Eddie Money concert at the U of U and a couple Sunday dinners at her parents home. She was a bit of a rebel then but she sure did love her family. We each went our separate ways. It does not surprise me the person she came to be. What an example to all she crossed paths with.

My heart is broken at Kathryn´s unexpected passing. I don´t know how I would´ve gotten through the nights following my divorce without her unwavering love and concern. More than any other person in the world, she understood the pain and held my hand through that difficult time. There´s a special place in my heart reserved just for her.

I am so saddened to learn of Kathryn's passing. Kathryn was a dear friend from high school. From "dragging" center street in Provo, to basketball, and football games, to all night sewing sessions, to her mother's Sunday scone nights she brought such joy and laughter to everything we did. I will always cherish my friendship with such a kind, and lovely woman. All my love to Katie, Gary, Kevin and Emma!!!

I'm saddened by Kathryn's passing. I worked with her in Boise for many years. She was always kind to me and supportive of my goals. She was such a good person and I've tried to emulate her as I work with others. I enjoyed interacting with her daily, she was always so positive. I'm going to miss her.

I´m saddened by the news, Katherine was such an amazing human in every aspect. We met in law school and I was so impressed by this woman who was so strong, resilient, witty and above all, full of grace. Kathryn always made everyone feel welcome and heard, and after graduation, continued to be genuinely interested in life and making those around her feel special. So honored to know you Kathryn, you will be missed.

I loved this sweet friend! We got to know each other at girls camp in 2021 and decided we wanted that friendship to continue. We met nearly every month for lunch; sometimes at the park, a few times at restaurants, but usually in her home while she took her lunch break from work. She always made a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. I loved her sense of humor, how she listened with her heart and how happy and loved she made feel every time I saw her.
I was so grateful to be able to spend time with Kathryn in the hospital many times before her passing. We had some wonderful talks, and laughed and cried together. My good bye to her at her home before her passing is something I will always hold dear to my heart. When I called her name and told her I was there, she opened her eyes and said, " Debbie, my friend." To be her friend was an honor and blessing. I will truly miss her.
My love and heartfelt sympathy goes out to her family. How grateful we are to know that families are forever.
With love, Debbie Farrell

I was privileged to be Kathryn's morning walking buddy. When the temperature was cold, I was always warmed by Kathryn's conversation. She is a true friend and I have dearly missed her. Kathryn's love for family and friends was a constant, and her focus was always positive.
She found great joy in her children and grandchildren. I was constantly amazed at her many talents and abilities. Just to mention a few: handiwork around the house, sewing, writing, gardening, cake making, her delicious sugar cookies and Parker House rolls, and the unique rockwork border that she built around the tree in her front yard. I learned from Kathryn's example of service. One of my favorite memories is the Tea Party Kathryn hosted - Jane Austin style! I know her legacy lives on through her children and grandchildren and countless other lives she touched.

Dear Katie and family,
Although we didn't know your mother well, we could always see the love she had for your family and the love you had for her.
She was a bright light in your lives. She also taught you to be a bright light in your life. You are so much like your mom. Her memory will always live on through her family. Katie you are a light in my life and I will always be grateful for you and what your mother taught you. May you all find peace at this hard time and know that you are loved by your Heavenly Father and so many others.

We rented our tent house to Kathryn when she lived in Midvale. Never did we have a more outstanding person rent from us. After moving to Boise my husband told her he´d buy another rental if she would come back. Truly a tragic loss! Our sincere sympathy to all her family. Would love to attend the celebration of life in the spring!

I'm so thankful Kathryn and I became good friends many years ago. I have so many fun memories of her. She was talented, smart, and had a terrific sense of humor. It is heartbreaking that she is gone and will be deeply missed. I'm confident her love and concern will continue for her family and she will be the best Guardian Angel to her posterity. I hope you will feel peace and comfort now and in the future and that you will be filled with sweet memories of your mom.

I loved Kathryn. I used to go over to the Durrant household for dinner once in a while. She was always very sweet.
She came to see me off on my mission at the MTC, which meant a lot to me. I exchanged letters with her throughout my mission.
I am so sorry for the family's loss. I will be adding my prayers to those of so many others who loved and admired her, to help the family find peace in their sorrow.

Katherine and I worked together at the Albuquerque National Hearing Center. On the day I was supposed to get my picture taken for my first PIV card, I was wearing something that wasn't dark-colored and I lived too far away to go home and change, so Katherine took me to her beautiful condo (which was practically right across the street from the NHC) and gave me a sweater to wear. So, to this day, my picture on my PIV card has Katherine's sweater on it!

I love Aunt Kath so much. She always had a special way of making me feel loved and included. I remember visiting her at her work one time as a teenager. We had lunch with her with my mom and sisters. I remember leaving feeling like she had listened to what I said and cared about my opinion and felt like what I thought was important. She took me seriously and that meant a lot. I will miss her. Katie, Gary, Kevin and Emma you are in my thoughts and prayers. Sending my love.

What a beautiful description of an incredible, admired, beloved woman. Kathryn left a little magic wherever she went. Whatever she touched became better. And she did it all in such a quiet, unassuming way. I love Kathryn! I will miss her sweet influence here on earth. She will now be enriching heaven!

My deepest sympathies to all the family. Prayers for your treasured memories of her to bring peace and comfort as you go through this difficult time.
Most of my memories with Kathryn were during high school days into early college years. Sadly, our opportunities to interact later were few but very cherished.
If I was having a down day she had a knack of being able to snap me right out of it with her clever sense of humor. Didn´t take long before she had me laughing. I have many treasured memories of Kath and witnessed many times her "lifting up the hands that hang down." Always ready and willing to help and seemed to always have an eye out for those needing help. She had a way of making someone feel special, especially those that felt like they deserved it the least.
She also had amazing insight and could make the most complicated or difficult thing seem simple and clear.
She definitely had a great impact and influence on my life and I feel so blessed to have known her
I will miss her greatly!
