My son worked on the Snowman MN Lottery ad and I loved your daughter's performance. She was simply delightful. So when I asked him this past weekend why it hadn't gotten that much airtime, I was shocked to hear of her death. As a parent, I can only imagine how devastated you are; as a lover of film and live theater, I know what a terrible loss her death is to the arts community; and having read many of the comments here about Katy, I can truly understand my first impression of her was spot-on. I'm so terribly sorry for your family, her fiance, and her friends and colleagues. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

We are all so sorry to hear about the loss of Katy. I remember watching her in her performances at Minnetonka High School, and remember thinking how much joy she brought to the audience. I also remember being in the Wizard of Oz with her and remember how nice she was to all the cast members, including the kids who thought the world of her.

I only recently met your beautiful daughter. She came into my office to audition for the Minnesota Lottery spot. The ladies at Moore Creative Talent told me I will love her...and within moments...I did! She was a breath of fresh air and from the moment she walked in the room - obviously someone so very special. I sense her heart was as big as the smile on her face and the sparkle in her eyes. I am blessed to have met her if only for a short time. I pray for you and your entire family during this very difficult time.

I was a student at Viterbo University and had the pleasure of working with her on many occasions. She has certainly left an impression on me and I'm sure everyone she met. Sadly today myself and many others of the Viterbo community were unable to be there to share our fond memories at her funeral today because of poor weather. Deb and Kent: I am very sorry to hear the news of Kaythryn's death. I cannot fully understand your loss. I do know you will be strong now; but, personally feel the loss more in a month or two. Don't hesitate to cry - both of you. You may question God's will in this - has He answered your prayers? Yes, He has, although you may not really know how. God did answer our prayers for Mary Jo - in many, many ways.
I will pray for Gregory, you and your family - for acceptance, for peace (the absence of anxiety), for eventual understanding, and for energy to continue to bring joy and peace to the people you touch at home, at work, at school, everywhere. You have the talent to do much. Do it in the name of and memory of your daughter, Kathryn.

I am saddened to hear of your tragic loss. I was in a handful of theater productions at AHS and got a the awesome opportunity to work with your family. Katy was just a little girl back then, but I distinctly remember her big smile and bright eyes. May the many memories being shared by family and friends give you peace and comfort.
