Dear Aunt Kathryn, you were my favorite aunt and will remain so. When I was 12 years old and took my first flight from Pittsburgh to New Orleans to stay with you and the gang for a month, it was a turning point in my life and it remains so. Living so far apart we didn't see one another often, but every time was memorable. Rest well.

Kathryn came, with her sister,Idabelle, to live with my parents, Ken and Ruth Johnson, when I was a few months old. She became my idol, and remained so until her last days. I always loved her intelligence and independent spirit.

Bob and I always enjoyed our visits with Kathryn, either in person or by phone. She had a zest for life, an independent spirit and a sense of humor that made her a joy to be with. We will miss her.
