Kathryn Rippert Obituary
Kathy dedicated her life to her family as a homemaker, creating a warm and welcoming home filled with laughter and music. Known for her infectious laugh and vivacious spirit, she was often the life of the party, especially cherished for her presence on the dance floor.
Kathy was the oldest daughter of John A. Kerwood and Kathryn Kerwood (née Bennett). She is survived by a loving family: her son, John S. Rippert IV and his wife Christine; grandchildren, Johnathan, Roman, Francesca, and Olivia; great-grandchildren, Remington, Hugh, and Vito; four siblings, John C. Kerwood, Sue Viola, Thomas Kerwood (Nancy), and Patricia White (David); sister-in-law, Wendy Kerwood (née Moy); many nieces and nephews; and her loving friend, Linda Abbate. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Marianne Kerwood, and her brother, Richard Kerwood.
Services to celebrate Kathy's life will be held on Friday, August 30th, with a viewing from 9:30-10:30am followed by a Catholic mass at 10:30am at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 819 Cathedral Road, Philadelphia, PA, 19128. Interment will take place at Westminster Cemetery, 701 Belmont Avenue, Bala Cynwyd, PA, 19004. The Clare McIlvaine Mundy Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Kathy's legacy of joy and caring will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Kathy you were a sparkle in your life to all who know you specially your big Ricky brother and lil sister Susan plus your cousins. I Still remember Kathy and Susan playing your music records oh yeah thoses 45's in house just getting ready to go out dancing where we all on fridays , Saturdays years ago. My love going out to you. Dear Sue & family, I am so sorry for your loss!! I met Kathy when I applied for a job at Germantown Savings Bank on top of the GSB building in Bala Cynwyd in 1978. Kathy was already an employee there & I was looking to get a job there. They weren´t going to hire me b/c they didn´t like family working at the same place! I swore up & down I didn´t know her & she agreed! They took a chance & hired me & that´s how I met Kathy. As we talked ,I found out I went to High school with her sister Sue, small world! Kathy & I worked together for a few years b/c I was expecting my 2nd child. She was the most sweetest , kindest person you could ever meet! I was fortunate if only for a short time to know her ! I recently met Kathy´s niece who also works at a bank & I see the friendly & sweet likeness of Kathy!!

Kathy was my Moms Best Friend when they all lived in Roxboro. Kathy and my mom Annie Dirks stayed in constant contact over the years until mom my passing. We spent a lot of time with Kathy in the 1980's. Kathy will Always Hold a Special Place in My . RIP Kathy. Our Condolences and prayers to the Family.
