Kathy Cahow JOHNSON CITY, TENN. Kathy Cahow, 61, formerly of Kingsport, went to be the Lord on Monday, July 16, 2012, at Johnson City Medical Center following a lengthy illness. She had resided most of her life in Kingsport and was a member of the First Baptist Church, Kingsport. Kathy had taught dancing at Holloway Dance Studio in Kingsport for many years. She had retired from Bristol Regional Medical Center where she had worked as a registered nurse. She was preceded in death by her parents, Balfour and Jean Doane. Kathy is survived by her daughter, Julie Songer and husband, Jim of Johnson City; and brother, Tim Doane of Kingsport. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 18th from 5-7 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson, Kingsport. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Dr. Marvin Cameron officiating. Graveside services will be conducted on Thursday, July 19, 11 a.m. at Oak Hill Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 3952, Kingsport, TN 37662. A special thanks to the staff at Appalachian Christian Village in Johnson City for the care given to Kathy.
