Kathy L. Ellis

Kathy L. Ellis, 63, of Quincy, died at 2:15 a.m. Friday, April 28, 2017, at Blessing Hospital.

Born June 28, 1953, in Quincy, Kathy was a daughter of Peggy Ann Martin. She survives.

Kathy was an accomplished seamstress. She and her mother owned and operated Peggy and Kathy's Costume Shop in Quincy. They shipped costumes all over the United States for many theatre productions. She loved flowers and animals, especially her cat Bennie. She loved to talk and visit with her "Granny" Elsie Coats. Kathy volunteered at the Salvation Army and enjoyed camping out with her mother on the East Coast.

Survivors include her mother, Peggy of Quincy; one daughter, Heather of Indianapolis, Ind.; two grandchildren; and one sister, Judith Mullins (Titus) of Dalton, Ga.

SERVICES: 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 5, at Woodland Cemetery with the Rev. Steve Disseler conducting.

VISITATION: There is no visitation, but friends are invited to attend the graveside service.

MEMORIALS: Salvation Army.
