Kathy graduated from Alameda High School a year before me. I was blessed with the pleasure and privilege to meet her while she was attending college in Modesto.

Despite all the awards she earned in high school she always kept herself so admirably grounded by her remarkably humble character, never allowing herself to fall prey to conceit or acting superior to others. She always conducted herself with such dignity and virtue, respected people“s feelings and because of her sheer kindness, gentle nature and spirit, genuinely treated others with the utmost consideration and thoughtfulness.

Through letters she generously shared with me her much-appreciated college experiences, wisdom and guidance from which I gained insights that immensely helped me get through my first year in college. Her words were cheerful and upbeat and she inspired and encouraged me to embrace a new chapter of my life with optimism for the future. She was so exceptionally graceful, charming and delightful in every way, and whose gift of friendship I cherished.

It has been said that you may never remember all that another has said or done to you, but you will never forget the way that person made you feel. I will always remember Kathy for having been that incredibly-wonderful person who so positively impacted my life and made it better.

May her radiant smile continue to brighten Heaven.

Kathy and I were roommates at Modesto Junior College. We were dear friends in contact for over 50 years. I was in her wedding and she in mine. She was a beautiful person and will be eternally missed.

Kathy and I were good friends in high school. She was one of my bridesmaid's in my 1970 wedding in Alameda. I have been looking for her for years and am so saddened by this news.
