Kati McDermott

How do I sum up in words the life of our Kati. Ever since she was a little girl, her competitive spirit was like no others her age. Nothing frightened her or made her be apprehensive about trying something new. The more of a risk the more she liked it. Katie always made me laugh sometimes to the point I wanted to pull my hair out and hers at the same time. We always had so many great laughs together. I´ve just noticed these last few months attending these touching memorials how she affected so many lives of young people. I will always have many fond memories and humorous memories of Kati. I´m sure she´s up there running the show right now. She was a real pistol. I attended her celebration of life today in Moraga at Campolinda. I can´t get over how touched I was on the emotions shown from all those young boys and girls. I was honored to talk to a couple of them and they shared some wonderful stories on how Kati had helped them in tough times. I know Katie was there and looking down on all of us and just pleased as can be with how she was being honored. We will never stop talking about you Kati.

My condolences to the McDermott family. My teenage years are filled with so many memories of fun times, many of which were shared with Kati and her friends. Kati was special with her big bright smile and kind personality. So sad to hear this news. May she rest in peace.

My deepest condolences go out to the McDermott family. Kati will always have a special place in my heart. We got to be teenagers together in the 1980s in Lamorinda. Unforgettable memories of one of the most special time in my life. I´m truly and forever grateful for having Kati in many of those amazing moments. I will always remember her for the beautiful person she was, inside and out. Rest in peace my friend.
