Katie L. McVicker, 27, of County Line Road died the morning of Feb. 4, 2008, in Jameson Hospital.Born July 24, 1980, in Rochester, she was a daughter of David E. and Joyce A. Rambo Dickinson. They survive in New Galilee.She married Jamie McVicker on Oct. 21, 2000. He survives.Mrs. McVicker was a homemaker and also a loan officer for Huntington Bank.She was a 1998 graduate of Mohawk High School and attended Indiana University. She was a graduate of New Castle Beauty Academy.Mrs. McVicker enjoyed reading, crafts and spending time with family.She was a member of Independent Methodist Church.In addition to her husband and parents, survivors include a daughter, Hannah Mallory McVicker of New Castle; two sons, Jamie Robert McVicker and Jacob Gunner McVicker, both of New Castle; two brothers, Michael David Dickinson of New Castle and David James Dickinson of New Galilee; two sisters, Emily Jo Copper of New Castle and Molly Ann Dickinson of Portersville; two nephews, Noah David Copper and Christian Copper, both of New Castle; her paternal grandmother, Marilyn Koch of Volant; her maternal grandfather, Lester Rambo of Monaca; her maternal grandmother, Patricia Kilian of Beaver; her mother-in-law, Debbie Hammerschmidt and her husband, Jeff; her father-in-law, Robert L. McVicker Jr.; and her brother-in-law, Stephen McVicker of Cranberry Township.She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Capt. David M. Dickinson; and paternal stepgrandfather, Robert E. Koch.Calling hours are 4 to 8 p.m. today at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home, 2429 Wilmington Road. A service will be conducted at 1 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral home. The Rev. The news of Katie's illness and passing came with great surprise to all of us. She is an amazing girl -always laughing and giggling. She certainly brightened all of the lives she touched.
